JOTI/JOTA 2003

For this year we had a LAN with 12 computers that allowed our 6 cubs, 1 guide and 4 leaders (+1 leader in China!) to participate in all sorts of activity: WWW, IRC, WebCam, Digital photo's, radio, GPS, and more!

Our 2003 Program (well, it sort of followed this). Details and notes for JOTA 2003.

JOTI:
Slightly new machines this year, all Pentium200 + specs. The poor old i486 machines have been retired. As the network is pretty much in place everything ran via the network gear in the downstair racks ... no hubs or switches kicking around the floor :)) We had 6 cubs and 4 main chat machines, which worked pretty well. The web cam went pretty well this year.

Where was that person?

Computers everywhere! and some maps to track contacts.

JOTA:
This year we were using the call sign VK3SCH, and a big thanks to Glenn (VK3CAM) for getting on air for most of the weekend. A much more high-tech radio mast took pride of place in the backyard.

A great game that we play during JOTA is Communications LEGO [pdf]

Clear, concise instructions and good listening skills will produce ideal results.
