Christmas in July for Leaders, Rovers & Venturers was on Saturday 17th July at the Scout hall. The Venturers worked as hard as Santa's Elves putting this night together for us all to enjoy. Given that is was such a cold evening, the Venturers get awarded bonus points for their costumes! The elven shorts were a talking point.
 
Once again the night was undercatered ... NOT!
 
After a warming glass of mulled wine, we were treated to a Venturer special pumpkin + spring vegetable soup with crusty bread which was very nice.
 
The main meal was a choice of roast beef, roast pork (with crackling) or curry chickpeas as a vegetarian option. Roast spud, salads, rice and pasta filled plates till groaning point.
 

During the evening there were several musical interludes peformed by the Venturers, rousing renditions of favorite Christmas carols. We were lucky enough to have a visit from Santa, who handed out presents to one and all.

Desert was plum pudding and custard, and then this was followed up with cakes and coffee. HELP I'M ABOUT TO EXPLODE!

A great night once again; thanks to all involved in making it such a success.
